Dear Resident:
Martin Marietta Materials Inc. is under contract to mill and overlay certain areas (See Map below and on the attached letter) in the streets in your neighborhood. Access to your home will be maintained, EXCEPT FOR A BRIEF PERIOD OF TIME WHEN FINAL PAVING OPERATIONS ARE OCCURING IN FRONT OF YOUR HOME. If you happen to be home or come home on the day your street is being paved and need to get in/out, you may experience some delays. Before driving on the street, please check with the paving crew. We do not recommend that you drive on the fresh oil or asphalt before the paving crew advises you to do so, it may result in asphalt cement being transferred from the road to the finish on your car and potentially on your driveway and into your residence. Parking on a side street and walking to your home is the best alternative.
We will be posting “NO PARKING” signs as we advance with milling and paving operations in your area. These signs will be posted least 24 hours ahead. Once the signs have been posted, please do not park in street during our work hours. The anticipated dates where work will be performed are Saturday September 14th (Milling & paving) . Any vehicles parked on the street during these times MAY BE TOWED to a nearby street.
Street construction activities in your area will include asphalt surface milling, and asphalt overlays.
Weather may prohibit work on anticipated days and scheduled work may be pushed to the next day or re-scheduled at a later time. (If work is to be rescheduled more than a week out the NO Parking signs will either be removed or turned facing away from the street and placed or turned again facing the street when work is scheduled for the next day)
